Suzanne Abourjeili is no longer with the Carnegie Endowment.
Suzanne Abourjeili was a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center, where she worked on the education reform project in collaboration with Muhammad Faour.
She is also an associate professor and researcher at the Saint-Joseph University and the Lebanese University in Beirut. She teaches courses related to research skills and educational sociology and conducts action research in collaboration with private schools and NGOs.
From 1998 to 2003, she chaired the Department of Education at the Université Saint-Esprit De Kaslik. Prior to that, she led national research projects at the Center for Education Research and Development aimed at analyzing the needs of public schools and providing recommendations for decisionmakers.
As a consultant, she evaluated several educational projects implemented by Lebanese and international NGOs. She serves as a lead technical expert for the School Improvement Program with D-Rasati project.
She is the author of Higher Education and the Labor Market in Lebanon (2003) and of numerous articles on educational change in Lebanon, teacher-training policies, and action-research impact on schools.
